Morocco Ale
5.5% ABV
Morocco Ale: Morocco ale is essentially a dark robust ale with a blend of spices of which ginger is dominant. It's brewed to the ancient recipe held secret at Levens Hall for over three hundred years, and revived in 1995. Levens Hall, situated in Kendal, England is open to the public who are invited to enjoy the old Brewhouse.
This recipe is believed to date from Elizabethan times. Legend has it that the secret recipe was buried under the evergreens in the garden during the English Civil War. It was a winner in the Great British Beer Festival in 1998.
